Summer is in town

Hi all! There's been a hot day through all the cold ones that we've had lately. I don't wear this dress very often. I'm rather doubtful about it's functionality. But every time I do it's just so sweet and nice that I don't give up on it.

Ombre hair project. Results.

Hi all! As I promised, the results of my ombre experiment. 

Yesterday we went to a concert in the Organ Hall - piano with chamber orchestra. It was great, I hope I will have occasions to go to such concerts more often. 

June seems to have forgotten that it's summer, so the outfit is not at all summerish - it was freezing cold. But I thought it was a good occasion to show my new hair. 

Tell me all you think about it and leave suggestions on how to style it maybe?

Приветик! Как я и обещала, результаты моего омбре эксперимента. 

Вчера мы ходили на концерт в Органный зал - фортепиано с камерным оркестром. Было замечательно, и я надеюсь что у меня будет возможность ходить на такие концерты чаще.

Июнь похоже забыл что он лето, поэтому наряд не очень летний - было очень холодно. Но я решила что это не помешает показать вам мой новый цвет волос.

Скажите мне что вы думаете и оставляйте предложения о том что можно творить с такими волосами :)

Black and white

Hi there! It's not a very summerish summer here lately. Sometimes it's very hot, so hot that you feel like you're being fried alive. Other times you can hardly keep yourself from opening that suitcase of winter clothes you have just put away. So here is one of the colder days.

Both the sweater and the pants were probably 2 of my most doubtful purchases. I bought the sweater in Mango, mostly in spite of how it looked. It's short, it's large, it's square... But, oh my god, have I fallen in love with it later. Now it's just as that song goes - I'm only happy when it rains - cos that's when I can wear this pretty much universal sweater.

The pants - well, I just wanted a bald print on my pants. And H&M was offering these for only 10 euros. I said, what the hell - if I don't like them, I put them in the dower chest and forget about them. Given the price, it was not a big deal at all... But, time showed that, just like the sweater, these pants are one of my favorites in summer.

Привет! Лето не летнее какое-то. Иногда очень жарко, так жарко что кажется ты рыба и тебя жарят. Иногда руки так и тянутся к чемодану в котором сложены зимние вещи. И вот один из прохладных дней.

И свитер и брюки были наверное мои самые сомнительные покупки. Свитер я купила в Mango, скорее несмотря на то как он смотрелся. Он короткий, широкий, квадратный... Но позже я реально в него влюбилась. Теперь я его ношу каждый раз как позволяет погода.

Брюки я хотела со смелым принтом. А в H&M они были за смешные 10 евро. Я решила - если не понравятся, я их спрячу по-дальше и забуду про них. При такой-то цене... Но время показало, что, как и свитер, эти брюки стали фаворитами моего летнего гардероба.

Jazz at Rotonda

Hi there! Another day, another look. This one was at an open air jazz concert.  Btw, in a beautiful place in the Valley of Mills park in Chisinau - Rotonda, on top of the Cascade Stairway. The stairway has been ruined for as long as I remember myself, but apparently in the past it was a great place in the park and in the whole city.  This is how it looked in 1967 (image from OldChisinau):

Приветик! Еще один день, еще один образ. На этот раз это было на джаз концерте под открытым небом. Кстати, в красивом месте на Комсомольском Озере в Кишиневе - на Ротонде, на вершине Каскадной лестницы. Лестница была разрушена сколько себя помню, но выглядела очень красиво когда была построена. Вот фотография 1967г. (от OldChisinau):

Worth a reconstruction, huh? :) And up there you see the Rotonda. Next to it was the stage and the concert was given to promote the reconstruction of this city landmark. It was nice, but let's see what I was wearing.

Стоит усилий реконструкции, а? :) Ну и наверху видна Ротонда, и рядом стояла сцена. И концерт был дан для поддержания проэкта реконструкции. Было хорошо, но давайте посмотрим в чем я была одета.

By the way, if you ever want to take a walk in that park, the Rotonda is indicated on the map.

Total denim and pumps

Hi there! Long time no see! Have been busy having guests at our house. My sister came with her family for vacation, so got all busy and didn't have time for regular updates. But now I'm back and have some more outfits to show.

You might say pictures in a mall is so cliched. And who goes to a mall wearing pumps anyway!? Well, I will tell you that in this city (as much as I love it) these suede pumps can only be worn to a place with perfectly flat polished floor, such as a mall. Otherwise, they might be ruined 10 minutes after I get out of the house. Also I will tell you that I could have used more light for these photos, really...

Привет всем! Давненько я пропала. У нас были гости. Приехала сестра с семейством, так что не было времени для регулярных обновлений. Но теперь я вернулась и мне есть что вам показать.

Вы скажете что фотографии в торговом центре это клише, и вообще кто ходит в торговый центр на таких каблуках! Но я вам отвечу, что в этом городе, пусть я его и люблю, но в замшевых лодочках на высоком каблуке можно выйти только в место с ровным полированым полом, таким как в торговом центре. Иначе туфли можно отправлять на свалку через 10 минут после выхода.

Fair and square

Another item from mom's dower chest. This green shirt is a little too square, but I like to wear it with suitable jeans and a slightly sportive look. I bet I can pair it with a skirt too. Be it any bottom, the sneakers go well with this bright green top.

Еще один предмет из маминого сундука. Эта зеленая рубашка, возможно, немного квадратная, но мне нравится носить ее с подходящими джинсами в слегка спортивных сочетаниях. Наверняка с юбкой тоже можно найти вариант. С любым низом, кеды подойдут этому яркому зеленому верху.

Spring Trench

A short one here. About a trench. I love it, especially for the price that I got it at C&A. In general this store has huge discounts when in sales. And here it was, the trench, so suitable for a walk in blooming May at the Memorial. It wasn't neither too hot, nor chilly to wear anything more solid.

На сей раз коротко. Про плащ. Очень он мне нравится, тем более за ту цену за которую я его взяла в C&A. У них вообще хорошие цены в сезон скидок, есть чем поживиться. И вот тренч пришелся кстати для весенней майской цветущей прогулки на Мемориале. Было не жарко, но и не холодно чтобы одеть что-то плотнее.
